The tenement house in which Motel, RESTAURANT „Nestor” is situated dates back to 1911. The owner and the designer of the beautiful and secession building was Mr Antoni Ruczyński.

During the occupation and shortly after the war the building was an apartment place and a kindergarten later. Afterwards the building was adopted for Kórnik Health Center and with such function is being related to by the Kórnik community.

In 1987 – when the Heath Center was moved – the property in 34 Poznańska Street fell into disgrace. A beautiful art nouveau building has become a ruin. A place that had all features to become a flagship of Kórnik, blemished the city.

Because of the lack of funds the Council sold the property. The private owner, despite having the plans to build a business center here, was unable to complete it.

In 1995 after hours of thinking we decided to invest a family capital in the deserted, desolated, but still reminding of its great past - building, situated in Kórnik in 34 Poznańska Street. Looking at this decision from the distance now we find it daring and risky.
The amount of work devoted to the house renovation surpassed all expectations. To tell the truth there was nothing that could be saved. What remained was the secession elevation and the shape of the building. The rest, including the foundation demanded replacement.
After years of renouncements we hope that we hale created a place that was needed In Kórnik.
